The State of LOA: Updates on Yield Farming, Dev Diaries, and more

Hello LOAders! It’s been a while since our last catch-up on the state of LOA — nearly 2 months, to be precise, so it’s high time we gave everyone an update on what’s going on behind the scenes, as well as a quick progress review on the milestones we revealed before.

Yield Farming is in the Works

For those who may have missed it, on 1st April we announced that the launch of the NFT Marketplace will be delayed, which you can read about here. However, we have also revealed that yield farming will be the first feature of the NFT Marketplace to be launched.

This morning, we just underwent the latest round of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with our internal team, as well as selected members of the public. It was an enlightening session, to say the least.

By bringing in outsiders to undergo the rigorous testing process, we are able to identify improvements that we can make to the overall user experience that the internal team may have missed — after all, it’s always great to have fresh pairs of eyes on the project to catch blind spots.

Our final steps before deploying yield farming include improving the user experience by making the interface more seamless and intuitive, while streamlining the process for both PC and mobile devices based on UAT feedback.

Dev Diaries Episode 3: Finally Wrapped

The latest episode of Dev Diaries Episode 3 has finally wrapped, after numerous delays due to several cast members catching Covid in rapid succession (thankfully, everyone has fully recovered!)

We have concluded the final editing, and we are pleased to reveal that Episode 3 is longer than previous episodes and has considerably more substance to it. This time, we hired a professional video team and took them right into the heart of the action to get up close and personal with the process.

We will be rolling out the video very soon, so do keep an eye out for it and — dare we say it — stay tuned!

LOA Website 2.0

One thing that almost everyone — be it fan or fudder — can agree upon, is that our website deserves a much-needed makeover. In our last update, we mentioned that the website revamp team was working on standardising the design across the board while introducing and culling content for the best user experience.

We’re happy to announce that the design prototype is coming along very well, with several new features to be introduced, including updated copy, new buttons, animations, and more! The next steps are for our front-end and back-end developers to integrate the new design into a smooth and user-friendly experience.

However, as we are still working feverishly to get yield farming and the rest of the marketplace up and running, this may take a little bit more time — but we promise the final outcome is something you’ll be excited to show your friends (goodbye, random snow!)

Hero of the Month #02

Yes, we know we promised that there would be no more Leon Fist for a while…and yet, there he is again in the above screenshot. However, we’re really excited to reveal that the 3D models, animation, and in-game integration of our next two heroes are almost ready to be rolled out.

We’ll be taking a poll very soon to see which of two heroes you guys would like to see as May’s Hero of the Month, so get ready to vote!

Hint: The choice lies between a certain bow-slinging warrior and a slash-happy ninja — our preference lies with the pretty lady, of course ;)

We know that everyone has been hungry for news on the project, and we hope that this small update will sate your appetite for a bit.

Apart from the aforementioned works in progress, you can also look forward to more features of the marketplace to be rolled out in stages after yield farming. NFT staking is also on its way, so be sure to prep your tokens and mint your skins once the marketplace is fully released, so you can use your skins to earn while waiting for the full game to be released. Remember, being one of the first to mint your skins also means you’ll be one of the first to join NFT staking, thus reaping the best yield rewards since there is a vesting period in play.

After that, there’s also NFT fusion to keep an eye out for. Fusion is one of our key burning mechanisms, which also allows players to unlock higher rarity skins by combining several lower rarity skins. In case you’re wondering if fusion is worth it, we have carefully calculated the values to ensure that the skin you receive from fusing will always have a higher hash power than all the fused skins combined.

With all that said, we’d like to thank everyone who has patiently stuck along for the ride, and we promise that beyond the greatest uphill climb comes the most beautiful sunrise.

Remember to keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for the aforementioned updates. We’ll see you again soon!
