NEEKOMANI: The Deadly Seductress

Neekomani’s origin is quite a mystery. Though Legends have it that she was once a young beautiful maiden who caught the eye of Dolos, the daemon of trickery. Dolos, as per his nature, attempted to deceive the young beautiful maiden. Yet, much to his surprise, his deception failed and his godlike arrogance demanded Neekomani’s suffering. Thus, Neekomani was cursed by Dolos to forever be his avatar of deception.

She first appeared in the large and bustling trade city of Reletin, near the coast. With a growing economy, this city had many comers and goers. Eventually word got around that several missing traders & travelers were all last seen in Reletin. The townsfolk became suspicious. Too many had vanished after visiting the city. So, they tracked the last known movements of the missing and many of them led to the home of a mysterious and beautiful woman. A simple plan of surveillance ensued.

One night, the ebony haired beauty attended an event with a young handsome socialite. After the party, the pair went for a midnight stroll down the nearby wooded path. A scout for the city investigator kept close watch as authorities waited nearby. It was a full moon that night and something felt rather out of place. The city guard waited for word from their scout, but word never came. So they set out to find the Raven haired woman. What they would find that eve, would forever be etched into their nightmares.

The city investigator’s patrol came upon a brook, in the moonlight they saw what appeared to be an overwhelmingly beautiful woman, with two tails and ears of a white cat. The stunning figure was kneeling over the bodies of two men. The blood of her victims, dripping along her fair skin, glistened in the moonlight; and her body shuddered with pleasure as she devoured their flesh.

The terrified patrol froze. Neekomani could smell their fear, her head turned to face them, draining the blood from their faces. One patrolman gathered the courage to yell “STOP!” Neekomani smiled…, blew them a sweet kiss and with a single leap — vanished from sight; leaving the disemboweled corpses of a charming socialite and scrawny scout in her wake.
