LORIE: The rainbow colored girl

Little is known about Lorie. One story tells of a unique rainbow colored girl born of a forbidden union between god and mortal. They say her childhood was one filled with misfortune. It all began when Lorie’s birth took her mother’s life. Lorie’s father drowned his sorrows away in his drunkenness and her village was not kind to her either. This special girl was born into an ordinary, simple world that was not prepared for what she truly was.

Lorie was lonely. When she was very young she would often talk to herself, but One day, some village children noticed Lorie playing and talking with someone who wasn’t there. They ran home and quickly told their parents and It wasn’t long before the poor rainbow colored girl was branded a curse upon their peaceful town.

That evening, there was a loud bang on the door of her humble home. Her drunk father stumbled to open the door and there stood 3 villagers. They told her father that the season’s crops had failed, blaming it on Lorie and demanding the curse be lifted through a sacrifice. Lorie’s father’s eyes went wide, he screamed for the men to leave immediately.

The men grabbed him and pinned him against the wall. One man looked her father in the eyes and said “ I think we’ll be needing two sacrifices then”

And then suddenly… a little child’s voice broke through the ruckus

Lorie stood behind the men,

And with the cutest smile said, “Excuse me…. Three sacrifices is better than two right?!”

The next morning, Lorie was gone and her father was found lying unconscious, covered in blood, amongst the brutalized bodies of three villagers.

When he finally woke, horror filled his eyes and he screamed three words…

Rabbits?! Lorie!! NO!!!
